African Champions League and CAF Cup
THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE AFRICAN UNION POSTPONES THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE African CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND THE CAF Cup FOR THREE WEEKS.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the Champions League semi-finals and the Confederation Cup will be held in September. “The semi-finals of the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup will be held in September, but the deadlines have not yet been set,” said Samson Adamu, director of the CAF Competitions Committee, in a press statement yesterday evening.
Samson added that the final decision on the masses’ attendance for the matches has not been decided yet, but “I think that CAF will give freedom to the local federations, to decide that according to the circumstances.”
The director of the CAF Competitions Committee indicated that the African Nations Championship will be held in Cameroon, in January and February 2021, and the dates for the remaining qualifying matches during the next period will be determined in detail.
