Club World Cup 2021
Press reports revealed the cancellation of the Club World Cup, scheduled for next December in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The reports indicated that the AFC Competitions Committee has informed the federations whose clubs are participating in the AFC Champions League in its current edition to cancel the Club World Cup.
The Saudi newspaper, Asharq Al-Awsat, according to its own sources, confirmed that the next edition of the Club World Cup scheduled for the summer of 2021 in China may be canceled due to the Tokyo Olympics and the Copa America, which was postponed from its previously set date due to the Corona virus.
The Executive Office of the Asian Football Confederation met Thursday morning and decided to hold the AFC Champions League final on December 19 in the West Asian region from one match and not in the manner in which past seasons were held in a home-and-away system.
The AFC also announced the cancellation of the Confederation Cup and a number of other tournaments.
